I watched "Bend it like Beckham" on vcd. Rented it. It was soo British, I had to strain my ears to understand their speech. But it was interesting all the same. There were gay and lesbian issues... which was very funny. hee. There was one part when the two indian girls (the main character, Jess, short for Jasminder, and her sis) were measuring for clothes. Jess, is a thin and lean girl who absolutely loves football. In other words, she does not have a perfect body figure. And the elder indian lady who was dressing them said,

"Oh, don't worry, if we work on them, Even the mosquito bites can look like juicy mangoes!"

My reaction was like, "WHAT?!" and I burst into hysterical laughter. I mean... it's absolutely ridiculous! Mosquito bites?! hahar...

Anyway, there's a schedule for the first two days of school on inet. There are no lessons at all!!! Hoorah! They gave us a lot of time to decorate our homerooms though. Do we paint or stg? I think the class should discuss what we want to do with the room exactly, before we get to the alloted time slot for cleaning and find ourselves with no idea what to do.

Oh crap... I'm going now. I'm going to watch Stuart Little. Watched the powerpuff girls movie on vcd yesterday. A load of rubbish. Really a waste of money...

Should post stg. Been sometime.

I read "The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole" by Sue Townsend. A boy's point of view... for a change. Adrian Mole is... very... WEIRD. He thinks he's an intellectual. But the things he does goes against that fact. For instance he puts blue tack in his ears. I mean, who sane enough, would put blue tack in his ears?! I really wonder how it doesn't get stuck. Plus, he is obsessed with his looks. One of his entries went along the lines of...

Help! My nipples are swollen! I'm turning into a girl!

He went to a doctor to get them checked. Can you believe that? The doctor was terribly annoyed.

Anyway, school is starting very soon. I'm dreading it, no matter what some other people (Victoria said she can't wait to get back to school!!) may say. sigh. As soon as all the stress and homework and tests and cca crap starts over, my blog and guestbook will somewhat stagnate. sigh.

shall go now...

I wrote crap in the last entry. Bleagh again.

I wanna paste quotes from DT, since all the past quotes I'd pasted in here had somehow vanished into oblivion. Am reading Draco Sinister again. Hehe. "Somebody stop me!!!" (The Mask)

"What's my middle name?" Ron demanded.

"Aurelius," said Charlie promptly.

This got a reaction even from Hermione. "Aurelius?" she demanded, staring at Ron.

Ron looked defensive. 'What's wrong with Aurelius?"

"Well, for one thing it means your initials spell "RAW."

hehe. RAW. Very funny.

I was going to watch the two towers just now but ALL the tickets were sold out. Should have booked earlier. My cousins and I were sooo fed up. Am going to try again tmr.

Gtg. Visitors coming for hari raya. sigh.

I realised I wrote a lot of crap in the previous entry. Bleagh.

Oh, DT fans, there's this vote cassie put up in yahoo groups.
Who do you think draco should tell he love them in DV? (b4 he dies if he does)
Hermione (he already has no point)
Ginny
Ron
Snape
Blaise (IM NOT PUTTING HARRY!)

And 68% chose Ginny! Hooray... and that includes me!

Anyway, Turkey, the DV christmas ficlet that I mentioned in my guestbook... it's not worth reading. It's gonna turn out slash, I know it. Sigh, the majority of the DT-crazed fans LOVE to make draco and harry gay every chance they get. Hahar.

I should say something bout my M'sia trip. But, really, there's nothing much. I went to KL first. Took the bus of course. Then took another bus to Langkawi - 7 hours drive. Langkawi's an island, so we had to get off first and take a ferry. The luggage we had was too much. 10 people... 15 bags.. really. We lugged it everywhere. My shoulder was about to give way.

Langkawi was nice. We rented this van and went around the place. I think it's a bit smaller than Singapore, and a lot less developed. We went to a waterfall... a padi field (practical Geog! hehe!), a craft museum... and the beach. Langkawi is quite a legendary place you know... let me tell the story. Long before your time...

The word 'Lang' is short for helang - which means eagle in english. 'Kawi' is a rock. According to them... there were lots of eagles sitting on rocks so... they named the island Lang-Kawi. hahar. Very funny.

There's also a legend about the island. There was once this girl, named Mahsuri, who was very beautiful. She captured the hearts of many men in the village. Everyone (well the guys at least) wanted to marry her. The village head wanted to make her his second wife, but his first wife would not hear of it. (Dah tua tak sadar diri...) So, Mahsuri married Wan Darus instead. Wan Darus was the village head's brother. Wan Darus left Langkawi for stg... (can't remember what) and Mahsuri was left alone at home with their child. There was a man named Deraman who visited Langkawi then. He was popular among the people and he stayed over at Mahsuri's house.

The village head's first wife, who hated Mahsuri, started rumours that Mahsuri and Deraman was having an affair. And so... Mahsuri was accused of adultery. Deraman fled the island. Mahsuri was tied to a tree to be later put to death. She, as well as her family, pleaded with the village people. No one would believe her innocence. And finally she was killed with her father's spear. The blood that spurted out from her body was pure white, signifying her innocence. Before she died, she cursed that Langkawi would see no peace and stability for seven generations.

ha... I'm getting bored... but the legend bout Mahsuri is supposedly true. Of course, by now the seventh generation has come and may even be gone. Mahsuri lived in 1819 lah. hmmm. Stamford Raffles was there...

Anyway, after that, I went to Penang. Very hot place. And came back. Ok, am getting bored and lazy. Sall come back next time.

I know it's been ages. It's been Hari Raya... waddya expect? Anyway, I think I'm going out with some gals tmr... Liyana , Mumu, etc. You know go each other's houses. Haha.

I know that all my entries have been totally HP, it's been kinda hard for non-HP pple to understand anything in here. sigh. What am I to do...? That's just the way I am... a HP freak. And it is my blog anyway... so pple who come here have to deal with that. Hee.

Today's my muim's and sis's birthday. My mum just opened the present me and my sis gave her. She hugged us... said thank you. And... we're gonna watch HP after this! Hah! I'm watching for the third time... and I still feel excited. Eeeek! Oh, yesterday, I went to my mum's uncle's house (Tok Malik) and they were watching a pirated HP CoS vcd. I almost screamed when I came into the house. Haha. My brother didn't want my mum to see any of it cos it will spoil the movie for her. But we still saw some parts.

Nenek Huda lent me some Hindi movies: Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam and Na Tum Jaano Na Hum. The first one starred Shah Rukh and Salman Khan. Oh have you heard that Salman is in jail?! Yar... I'm soo behind on my Hindustan news... He got drunk and ran over some sleeping person with his car. Tok Malik was saying, "That's the end of Salman's filming indutry".

It's weird how my cousins' names seem to coincide with these hindustani heroes. Salman, Amir... Haha. Lucky my brother's name isn''t one of them . It's enough that people thinks he's the Asian Tom Cruise. Puh-lease. Don't make me puke. But I have to say... he's okay-looking. Somehow the guys in my family (near and distant) are blessed with good looks. Hah, I'll never admit that to their faces...

Ok, gtg. Gotta get ready for HP movie!

Sigh. It's soo hard to talk to turkey these days... I made Xinling take a look at DT. Hah!! I'm soo evil... trying to get as many peeps as possible to get hooked to it! But it's really a wonderful read. Hee. Xinling is VERY innocent, in the sense that she NEVER reads fanfiction. I'm poisoning her mind... dear, dear...

Anyway, before turkey warned me not to turn into my philosophical self, I was thinking about the fact that beautiful people suffer more than normal people. Have you ever heard of girls who get attacked by black magic because they refuse to marry certain people? It happens a lot during the old kampung days. I think it still happens in those ulu places of Indonesia. It all boils down to having impossibly good looks. Everyone wants to marry you. And you'll have such a tragic love life, cos you'll never get to marry the person you want. Hahar. Maybe it's better if you're normal-looking... hehe.

OMG!!! Lingzhi actually reads DT!!! I can't believe it. And Xinling actually likes Draco Dormiens already and she only started reading 10 min ago!!! Aaaaahhhh! I'm soo happy.

P.S. This entry was actually dated 3rd December but there was some technical problems so it did not appear on the site.
I read DV 11! I read DV 11! I read DV 11! I can continue saying that for hours. Oh my god! I have lots to say... So, for those starting to get hooked to DT but haven't read this much-anticipated latest chapter, you better skip the following parts if you don't want any spoilers. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Firstly, I think this chapter contains much less humour than the previous ones. Maybe it's because 99% of the time, Harry and Draco are not together to make cruel and snide remarks to each other. Yes, the two soully-and-mentally-connected best friends are separated... and there's so much misunderstanding between them. I can't stand it! Harry thinks that the complete antidote for the poison has been found. So he thinks that Draco is going to survive it. So he leaves without Draco. He left the letter to Draco explaining everything, but Tom Riddle in the form of utterly-boring-and-pesky Seamus had to come into the picture and ruin everything. Sigh. Seeing crushed Draco is soooo heart-wrenching. Oh God... poor, poor Draco. He's "painfully honest".

There's quite a bit of D/G here. I'm glad. Draco is confusing. We still have no idea what he really feels for Ginny. He can be cruel to her, but according to him he has his reasons, but he can also be incredibly gentle too. Hmm. Ginny was right to bring this up:

She pulled away. "Don't," she said. "You think it's kind, but it's not kindness."

"I'm not kind," he said. "Never that."

She stepped away from him, backwards down the stairs. "Then what are you?" she said. "Do you even know?"

That is soo right. What a complex character Draco is.

I've got another quote regarding Ginny's boy dilemma; featuring the twins!

"Boyfriend problems," said George sagely, pointing at her with the end of the quill he'd been chewing on. "I suspect little Ginny's been having boyfriend problems."

"Ah, but which boy?" wondered Fred portentously. "The dashing yet otherwise occupied Harry Potter? The stalwart yet tedious Seamus Finnigan? The redeemed-yet-still-sarcastic Draco Malfoy?"

"Seamus didn't seem at all tedious to me," protested Mrs. Weasley.

"Seamus and I broke up," said Ginny, in a leaden tone.

"And good riddance!" cried her mother. "I hated him on sight!"

"Oh, for goodness sake," Ginny wailed. "And Fred, I don't even know why you'd mention Harry, you know perfectly well I've been over him for ages."

"I suppose that leaves Malfoy," said George regretfully. "Which is too bad. You'll spend the rest of your life competing with his hair products for attention and fighting over which one of you is the prettiest."

"And let me tell you," added Fred, "Malfoy will win."

Haha! But I have to agree with Fred. Malfoy WILL win.

Let's see, what else did I wanna say... Oh yes, Tom is so very EVIL. I imagine him as Christian Coulson. Christian is the perfect 17-year-old Tom. And he is currently residing in the oh-so-boring Seamus. "He's got no personality himself", so plenty of room for Tom's. I have no idea why I dislike Seamus so much in this trilogy. Maybe it's because he was interfering with the D/G aspect of the story. Hmph.

There's a lof of flashbacks too this time. How Blaise slowly figured out about the "Gryffindor conspiracy". It throws Blaise and Pansy into a whole new light. Blaise truly cares for Draco, and Pansy has feelings for Ron. Maybe these poor Slytherin girls are more than sluts. Maybe they just need guys who are more than just big troll-like bodies and empty vessels as heads. I'm talking about Gregory Goyle and Vincent Crabbe. Hah.

One last thing, something that left me gaping in horror and disbelief. All along, I have been aware that Cassie, the oh-so-ingenious writer of DT, mixes around with people who are interested in slash fics. In other words - same sex relationships. I have no hesitation in saying that the whole idea disgusts me. A Harry/Draco ship is something "pukable" and inconceivable to me. So... just imagine my shock when I read this...

"You always have to make such a big deal out of everything," he said, and then he did exactly the last thing Harry would ever have expected, and leaned across the small space that separated them, and kissed Harry on the mouth. The chapter ended right after that fullstop.

I was like, "What are you DOING Cassie???" She promised not to make it into a slash fic. She promised. She did. Luckily, fortunately, and thank god, she wrote in her author's note:

I have bought myself a flameproof igloo and calmly await whatever might come. One can, of course, have a hysterical flaming fit over the DT turning into slash and how physicality will ruin the purity of Harry and Draco's beautiful relationship and so on until one turns blue, but all I can say is that... you really don't know where I'm going with it. Trust me on that. So a more productive line of reasoning would probably be not to wonder whether that chapter ending should exist, but why it does.

She better keep her word on that. If DT turns into a slash fic, I won't read it anymore, because I NEVER read slash fics. But I trust Cassie. She'll come up with a good ending to everything. I won't flame her, and besides she threatens to turn it into a Harry/Snape fic if everybody starts throwing flames at her. And I wouldn't know what to say to that if it actually happens.

Sigh. It has been tiring. Typing endlessly. But I feel happy, because waiting for DV 11 is finally over and done with. Now... we wait for DV 12. But I won't be online much the next few days, it being Hari Raya and all. I have to learn that life does not revolve solely around HP and DT. Hehe. I better spend more time doing housework or something.

I hope to hear from you people about DV 11 soon. At least I hope to hear from Turkey.

OMG!!!!! I'm about to burst with excitement!!!!!! DV 11 will be coming out in less than 3 hours!!! Eeeekkkk! *hyperventilates... tries to calm down... phew*

I can't believe it. It's finally here. After waiting for sooo long. Hope Eunice comes back, then we can bounce around in our respective swivel chairs in front of our respective computers. That is of course, assuming that turkeys do sit in modern day swivel chairs and not some wooden chair-thingy. Oh wad am I crapping? I'm becoming insane. Must be the pre-DV 11 effect. Hee.

Anyway...

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY DUCKIE!!!!!!!

Wish you the best for the next year of your life. Hope you grow more tail feathers on that cute little butt of yours (hehe, pardon my french!), so that you can spare some to make quills for our dear turkey. She can't bear to pull out her own tail feathers.
By the way, did you know that turkey, duck and goose feathers make excellent quills? Rally, I'm not kidding. Maybe fate put the three of us together to set up some quill industry. Hehe... what with turkey's over-enthusiasm over those quills...

So... duckie... wad do you want for ur b'day, huh??? I think u want stg HP, no doubt bout that. But does it matter what HP thing it is? I mean... can it be anything... can it be kiddie? Cos... I found this really incredible HP thingy... and it's a good buy too. hmm.

I'm gonna go offline soon.. wanna watch 'The Bachelor', cos it's the 'bitching' episode. Should be exciting. Sigh. But Eunice is still not here! Hmph. Where is she...?
