Shakespeare & Co.? Yup, it's very famous (was a writer hangout, has been in a few movies, e.g. Before Sunset, etc.)... And as an English bookstore it's heavily frequented by English-speaking travellers, especially, I think. Haha. Plus it's located really close by to Notre Dame and the very, very touristy Place St-Michel. Almost impossible to miss! Went there a few times on both trips... Its owner just died in December, actually.
Another bookstore I really liked that's a lot less famous (if at all...?) is The Abbey Bookshop, which is located a short walk away from Shakespeare & Co. A lot less -- glamorous? -- but the proprietor was really awesome. Highly recommended for a visit.
I want a house filled with books. Books at every corner. Books here, books there, books everywhere. And I'll have to find some space to fit in a husband, a few kids and a cocker spanial :P

I've never seen it as unpopulated as it is in that photo. Haha.

Just a matter of $$$ and time and parental approval (mehh), and then I'll go.
